Thanks johnnyh for the offer. Agree with delloy that it would be good to have a piece in auction but also think that it is a great gesture of you. Maybe it'll be possible to do both for the good cause. However mad busy at the moment with my show starting in a couple of days so it would take a while... Will try my best to do the one for auction asap, hopefully will be a matter of a few days. Thought about a suitable image but then it came into my mind that the best image would probably be the one that possibly would raise the most cash...so 'Spot Remover' it is. Will do a unique coloured background on it since all the others are white...that hopefully will create some extra interest in the piece.

Hi all, Just such sad news to hear this today, my heart goes out to the people of Nepal after today's awful tragedy. Nepal holds a special place in my heart as it is a wonderful country and the people some of the friendliest and most welcoming I have met so far in my life! I have several Sherpa friends who I communicate with on a regular basis, I'm really hoping they are ok and haven't been affected by this personally, although I expect it will affect every single person in the country one way or another. Because of this I would like to try to run a charity auction here on the forum to help. Any donations of art no longer to make your wall or you have lost interest in would be greatly received. Post em up and let's see what this new wonderful forum can do Any suggestions on the best way to run this efficiently and smoothly to make sure all monies get to where they should go would also be greatly received Thanks for your time D I have to echo all of that above, it's a very special place for me too and i think anybody lucky enough to visit the country would share a similar sentiment. A spellbinding and magical place with incredibly humble and kind people. They didn't deserve this and sadly most familiar with the region knew a major earthquake would hit them at some point, they just never knew exactly when. I'm 100% behind this, will have a look and see what i can offer up

If a specific eBay account is set up can I suggest that the name doesn't explicitly reference the notbanksyforum; it would allow the auctions to be more easily posted about on UAA without any friction and it would ensure everyone's attention is focused on Nepal and not forum politics.
EDIT: Opps, too late. Sorry I'm a slow typer!

Looks like the auction is set to "May not post to United States", and my experience is that will prevent any bids from the U.S. Might want to reconsider, to catch the widest audience.

Great work, NBF!! Just a thought. Should you mention it's a 100% charity auction for Nepal in the auction title? UmBongo

Didnt really want this happening just yet to be honest. The original intention was to have them all listed in one place on one account. I wanted to start the auction initially on Wed/Thurs, but now it has grown into quite an event I was going to get it all up and running by next week with all items donated starting all at the same time in the same place. In my eyes it needs a little more organisation before this happens and not sure I want things popping up at different times....it would make it confusing for bidders not knowing definate start and finish time for the auction. Would it be possible before any more go up to let me or any of the admin team know please or else this will just become very unorganised and a bit of a shambles if things are just randomly added. Apologies if Ive gone on a bit, just want this to run as smoothly and efficiently as possible. Thankyou.

To save dellboy some time, it'd be great to list each item on your own ebay acct. Then, as the auctions end, post the amount of $ you raised and to what charity the $ went to. I'd like to read that. No reason for this to be on one acct.

If they're going to be on different accounts, would it be possible for forum members to copy and paste a banner in to their descriptions, explaining that it's a charity auction (kinda) organised from here, a bit of info about the forum and stuff (If people would like their own auctions to be affiliated, of course)? Also include #NotBanksyForum in the title/description too, so other auctions can be easily found? I have no idea how to do a banner thingy myself, I've only recently come to the realisation that my iPhone doesn't have valves in it, that speaks volumes about my knowledge of these modern technologies with all their gubbins and doings - maybe someone can knock one up? UmBongo

I think it will all be auctioned from one account notUmBongo If we can get it all worked out I think this will be the way to go. If it is spread all around ebay I dont think it will receive as much attention and get confusing for bidders with different start/finish times. This auction has now become bigger than I originally anticipated and now I have the forum mods/admin involved we hope to get it up and running within the next couple of weeks or before. Will keep everyone posted with progress. Thankyou all.
