Agreed why the need to end the discussion, if it's dull then don't read it and move on. If members want to discuss then leave them to it as banal as it seems. The other forum is overly policed except when it comes to the guardians bullying. Let's not do the same here. |

Carry on. well, no, I didn't censor anyone and decided not to lock the thread. just trying to give my opinion. arguments like these get to the point where people with different opinions realize they aren't going to convince others with opposing views to change their mind, and that's when the personal insults usually start this is just a silly internet forum - nuances like tone and sarcasm don't always come across when typing on a keyboard and sometimes things get more serious than they should. after all, aren't we all here to have some fun? Here's the thing - since I started the forum, I think that there is some expectation that what I say is "the law of the land". and honestly that's not what I want. I have zero interest in being any sort of authority figure. I want to be just another joe schmo chatting about art and other random crap, while providing some general guidance on the direction of the forum. For the most part, what I say isn't "The Official Opinion of the Forum", it's just my humble opinion as a forum member. I think I need to start taking that into consideration before posting anything. any suggestions on how to differentiate between my personal opinions and that of NBF are welcome anyway, if you're reading this, sorry to see you go and you're more than welcome to come back whenever you'd like. the forum is growing at a faster rate than ever before and honestly, more than I think any of us expected, but each and every forum member is still very much appreciated. I hope everyone continues to enjoy this place as much as I do. It's like hanging out with a bunch of friends, but not having to get dressed or comb your hair before leaving the house |

Still like the vibe here, fed. I think everyone's opinions on the happenings and direction of the forum are heard, which is refreshing, however, there is no utopia and you can't please everyone.

CGI has been in touch and we have both apologised for failing to see each others views. I take the point here that he is a stand-up guy and coming to me with an olive branch after our very public battle here only emphasises that. And to be very up-front - I saw the message and expected abuse, i opened it and there wasn't a single cross or judgemental word - just a very sincere and genuine PM. I stand by my views but maybe should have been a bit more measured of how i delivered them - Ive apologised for my part in this whole saga and also reinforced the hope he will come back The rest of the ass kissers on this thread...my avatar is there for you  |
