so we rate artists on how well they can use a product and then fucking paint on it? But we don't care what the image is or what it's saying.
the future of art is for blind people or for people who have had a lobotomy.
awesome

Yup. Drips. Thickness of paint. The way he applies the pixels. It's the future.

Yes, but I think he was taking exception to people implying that anyone with Photoshop can make a good image. You're correct, it takes skill to use Photoshop effectively and to not shoehorn bad puns into everything. If he's as hot as "they" claim, then he'll probably need to resist the lure of money, tempting him to churn out Star Wars images for the cash-hungry galleristas. I'm starting to really dislike all the Star Wars fan art. It's getting to be like the royal baby. Months of this shit until the film is released. Then more shit. And I'm a huge Star Wars fan. I'm typing this while sitting in my vintage Star Wars dressing gown, with my vintage Lightsaber in my hand. I like Star Wars, but enough's enough. It's like these people are abusing my childhood. I was raised by Star Wars. I don't come into their homes and take the piss out of the people that raised them. "...with my vintage Lightsaber in my hand" Bless you for that UmBongo

Can anyone work out whether he was producing this tattooed celebrity work before Cheyenne Randall or not?
If there's one thing I can't stand it's hypocrisy, and regardless of what people may think of eye kandi art, it's a bit rich for him to kick up a stink about plagiarism when it appears to me that his entire body of work is a blatant copy of Cheyenne Randall.

You should get you one of these prints personalised by Ryca then to make up for your loss by all those rip offs (as I did for our son).

Somewhere there is an empty bucket that correctly represents all the importance this shit art has.
For anyone with a long weekend, a bag of weed and photoshop (along with some youtube tutorials) it will be quick to see how little artistic talent this takes. On top of that the reuse of someone elses iconic image, and copyrighted photograph makes this a larger pile of shit.
As has been said on this topic before. Remove the stolen elements and what do you have? Shit photoshop work passed off as art. Can we please stop buying this shit so these people starve (galleries and artists included)

By the same virtue stik should be avoided because if you have a 5 year old child, a bag of M&Ms and a 45 minute art session you could end up with the same result.
Different strokes and all that.
(Pun intended)

Is it possible to start a new thread for J J? One that is for people that like what he does and want to discuss it without people slagging it to the ground with stupid comments about it taking five minutes in photo shop to produce the work, Just a thought , or is this not the fourum to do this on? You know when you say things like its crap and takes a few minutes to do , it just makes you sound ignorant ... Kinda like in the old days when , if anyone is old enough to remember " candid camera " in the late 70's they woke try to undermine modern art by throwing a ton of paint on a canvas and pretending to showcase a new artist and ask critics to critique it. Basically trying to make people look stupid for liking something they don't understand. If you don't get J J's work don't buy it, and why try to slag it off to the ground? I love it , can't buy enough of it and don't give a shit it its worth 20p tomorrow. Anyone that puts boba fett and robocop in a fricking delorean gets my £888

People are allowed to post positive comments on here. Was just saying maybe there could be a separate thread? So this one can continue to slag his work off which this one is doing brilliantly at I should add.... while another one could be there to actually talk about it so anyone looking won't wonder what the hell they have stumbled upon, then you can all continue happily slagging it off here, just a thought ?

I might have jokingly suggested starting a new JJ Adams thread awhile ago, but I think there's a natural ebb and flow to threads, as both fans and detractors comment and contribute. It is a JJ Adams thread, but it's on a wider art forum and not just an echo chamber. Perhaps the JJ Adams fans could talk about what they like about the works, favourite pieces, etc. Who knows, the enthusiasm might rub off on others?
